Position: Open Space Coordinator

Salary: $65,000 – $85,000
Moore Township is seeking a dedicated Open Space Coordinator to lead our efforts in preserving and enhancing the Township’s natural resources. This full-time, exempt position plays a vital role in managing the Open Space Program, supporting the Land and Environmental Protection Board (LEPB), overseeing the MS4 Program, and coordinating special projects.
What You’ll Do:
- Administer open space acquisitions and conservation easements.
- Oversee maintenance and restoration of township lands and recreational facilities.
- Manage GIS mapping, easement monitoring, and compliance reporting.
- Coordinate LEPB meetings, events, and community outreach.
- Ensure MS4 program compliance and stormwater management.
- Identify funding opportunities, write grants, and manage projects.

Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED (college degree preferred).
- Valid PA driver’s license.
- Ability to obtain pesticide/herbicide certification within one year.
- Experience in park/open space maintenance or related fields.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and GIS software.
- Strong project management and communication skills.
Physical Requirements: Ability to perform outdoor work, lift up to 50 lbs. (approximately the weight of a box of 20 lb. bond paper), and adhere to safety protocols.
